Interview 23

6 January 2015

What is your name?
Cristelle Comby

Where are you from?
Switzerland. A little town in-between Geneva and Lausanne.

What genre are you in?
Mystery & Detectives is the official label, but you can call Danse Macabre a crime thriller.

Please list your books and the year of publication.
Russian Dolls, 2013
Ruby Heart, 2013
Danse Macabre, 2014

Why are you an Author?
I’ve loved writing since I was a kid. Writing a novel was the next step. It came to me very naturally.

Where and what times during the day do you work best?
I write during the weekends and holidays. I often write in bed, because it’s the most cozy and comfy place in the flat. In the summer, I sometimes write on the balcony.

Who is your target audience?
The books are marketed for ‘New Adults’, but anyone above age 15 can read them. They’re also fine for you, if you’re ninety.

What is one piece of advice you would give aspiring authors?
Never give up. Ever. You’re the only one who can kill your dreams, so keep up hope. There’s always a way to get your work out there.

Share one thing about yourself that you would like readers to know.
Fun fact: it’s my feet on the book cover. And let me tell you wearing Pointe Shoes when you’re not a dancer, hurts! Like really, really hurts.
