Interview 33

07 August 2018

If I came to visit early in the morning would you impress me as being more like a chirpy bird or a grumpy bear?
I’m the early bird type. I get up at 5:30 every morning and start my day job at 6.

What one word best describes you?
Reliable.

What do you find most rewarding about writing?
I love seeing my characters come to life on paper and watching them grow and evolve.

Say your publisher has offered to fly you anywhere in the world to do research on an upcoming book, where would you most likely want to go?
America. I’ve never been and I’d love to visit the Grand Canyon area.

You just won a huge lottery what is the first thing you’ll buy?
One of the top 5 restaurants in the world is two streets away from where I work. I dream of having lunch there one day, but it’s too pricey for me. If I won the lottery I’d totally run to book a 12 course meal there.

What question do you wish was on the list? Your answer?
Something totally random and that has nothing to do with writing. Like: “What’s your least favorite animal” My answer: mosquitoes; they should be blasted out of existence.

Do you have a Website or Blog?
I have a website: www.old.cristelle-comby.com. Up there, I have two prequel novellas that you can download for free, if you want to get a taste of what I do.
– “Redemption Road” is a prequel to the Vale Investigation series—it’s the story of Vale and Death’s first encounter.
– “Personal Favour” is set in my series of cozy mysteries The Neve & Egan Cases. It’s a glimpse of the life of Alexandra Neve, before she became a private investigator in London
